Here is, as promised, as many details as I could get from Crytek’s official announcement of Crysis 3 earlier today.

We will once again step into the Nanosuit as (Alcatraz) Prophet, who is out for vengeance against damn near everything that moves. After discovering the Cell Corporation’s ulterior motive for rebuilding the quarantining Nanodomes, Prophet sets out to bring them down, and any Ceph or human that gets in his way. The game will take us through “seven distinct and treacherous environments… known as the Seven Wonders”, as Crytek detailed this morning, many of which will be overgrown with flora, blending the two very different environment styles from the first two games.
Since we will literally be in an urban jungle, what better weapon to introduce than a new composite bow, or what I’m calling the Nanobow?
The gameplay “is a thrilling mix of sandbox gameplay, advanced combat and hi-tech human and alien weaponry that shooter fans will love,” according to Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yerli. Call me overzealous, premature (ejaculation), or too hopeful as much as you want; this game sounds like a strong contender for GOTY 2013.
Pre orders should be open at your favorite retailer now, and although I was unable to find which retailer is offering which bonus, I will list them shortly. Much like Crysis 2 and its Limited Edition, Crysis 3 pre order consumers will receive the Hunter Edition at what I assume is on first come first served basis. Said Hunter Edition will include “early access to the new signature bow and its attachments, plus the Hunter Nanosuit module which adds additional power and functionality to the super-suit. Gamers who pre-order now will also have a head start when playing online with a bonus XP boost up to level 5, a unique bow skin and three exclusive dog tags”.
….Um, yes please.
Pre Order Bonuses:
Stalker Pack- early access to semi-auto Jackal shotgun, a powerful close-range shotty with a silencer attachment, a custom weapon skin, and two exclusive themed dog tags.
