I don’t always get to reap any particular rewards from Dak being right, but here’s a good example of that very occurrence! Once upon a time, Dak strongly declared that Borderlands 2 would read prior save files to hook up original players with some cool stuff, perhaps as a way of transferring earned goods from one game to the other. Well, it’s not going to go down like that exactly, but in a really cool twist Borderlands 2 will read the save file of any original Borderlands player and immediately install exclusive character skins and heads in what they’re calling the “Vault Veterans” rewards program.
It’s pretty cut and dry, as you can see said heads/skins in the picture above, and this is just another reason for me to be in a mad state of shaky nerd heat for this upcoming game. Yes, I am a grown man, and I can in fact say that I have a 99.9% chance of humping this game’s leg. Thank you, Gearbox!
Don’t delete those saves, kids! This will span Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, and the game is out on September 18th. Yup!
