This poor kid has been beside himself, endlessly searching. Why is that, and what is he seeking? Well, ever since Gearbox announced Brothers in Arms: Furious Four at E3 2011, we haven’t heard a single whisper about it. The reveal trailer looked like Inglorious Bastards meets Borderlands, but other than the initial trailer it has been a vow of silence on all fronts.

Gearbox head honcho Randy Pitchford has clarified what’s up with a recent update. He spoke to the game still being a thing that is happening (so he says) and that it has “evolved” since it was first shown and they want to take the time to adjust it so it is in the best shape possible before letting the world catch another glimpse. Obviously, the game isn’t going to make it in time for the 2012 release date that was provided at first, but he said that it will most likely get thrown in the spotlight again once Gearbox has taken care of duties they have tied up in Borderlands 2 and Aliens: Colonial Marines at the moment.

Fair enough. I wouldn’t be shocked if it still ends up getting cancelled, however. This isn’t the Brothers in Arms that people who actually like that series would want, and it seems to be imitating Borderlands more than anything, what with the 4 player co-op mechanics and the whole “four” play on words in the title itself. I’d say…those people will just stay happy with Borderlands 2, and tons of DLC for that. Who is this for?

I knew they weren’t going to deem this to be of greater importance than Borderlands 2. Ha!
