Do we really need another console? We already have 3 home consoles vying for our time, why another. Well, over the last few years, I’m sure you will agree that the 2 major players are virtually doing the same thing. That third guy I’m not even going to mention, because it breaks my argument a bit. We need something different people and it looks like Ouya is trying to provide this. They are making a system that will retail for 100 bucks!! I know, what kind of system can I buy for a franklyn. Check out the specs kids!!

Yep, Android. The specs look pretty decent, for 100 bucks, but why not just get a 360 or PS3? This box is offering something that none of the boxes on the major market are offering. Freedom. The devs want US to hack this thing. This box is for the indie scene and they want US to dev and make games for the thing. All games will be free or setup with a free trial for US to try out. Most of my cynics are seeing holes in my argument. Free doesn’t necessarily mean good. Of course not, I always say you get what you paid for, but who’s to say this can’t be different?
I’m not trying to sell you on the thing. I myself am really interested and I think they may have my money. Check out their kickstarter page. Come back here and share your thoughts because I would love to hear what you guys and gals think of this thing.
