Steam Summer Sale is a GO!

Update:  The first round of polling has completed, and Saints Row: The Third took a narrow victory with 36% of the votes. Batman finished with 32%, and The Witcher II managed 31%. Most likely by the time you read this, Saints Row: The Third will officially be on a new sale, and at 75% off the listed price, it’ll be around $12.50. Quite a remarkable discount for a game that I highly recommend if you have yet to give it a shot. The next round of voting will also start shortly, and they’re doing them every 8 hours!

This is just a friendly reminder in case you perhaps have been so busy today that you haven’t bothered to check your email, steam account, or just talk to another friendly gamer. Valve has pulled the trigger on this year’s Steam Summer Sale. It’s happening, people. This is what they REALLY mean in The Walking Dead advertisements that say “When the world goes to Hell…” That is the SSS. I like abbreviating it like that; it’s almost like you just phonetically hiss like a snake.

There’s too many good deals to list here, so why not go have a gander? The sale runs from today until July 22nd, and the daily deals are in place as always, in addition to the hourly deals that expire much quicker and have their unique countdown tickers. Also, they’ve added a voting sale for this year that asks the community via a poll to vote for one of 3 games in order to decide which one to put on sale. Right now, it’s between The Witcher II, Saints Row: The Third, or Batman Arkham City. Depending on who wins, they would be marked down to $15.99, $12.50, or $10.09, respectively. NUTS.

I picked up Hard Reset, plus its new DLC, for $3.75 total, as well as Deus Ex: Human Revolution for $7.49. Go check out Steam, now, to get in on all of the individual and publisher specific bundled deals. Get ready to throw money into the wind. Just try to pace yourself. It lasts for 10 whole days, people!

Leave some comments either right here on the thread or on the Facebook equivalent to share any sweet deals you’ve found and care to share.
