Now I’m not saying the two things in the title of this post are related, but it is a rather intriguing coincidence.
Mr. Kojima let it be know he plans to reveal a demo running in the new Fox Engine on the above date, which to me says MGS 5 demo. Despite the fact that the MGS 5 logo we saw pop up on the interwebs last week was said to be fake, Kojima has confirmed the existence of MGS 5, and I couldn’t pick a better date to officially reveal it than during Snake’s 25th celebration.
Regardless of what it turns out to be, the tiny tech demo that we saw of the jungle setting running in Fox Engine was impressive enough, and I can’t really think of any other Konami IP they would want to show (perhaps aside from in game Castlevania: LoS 2).
Keep your browser open on August 30th; I’m sure that video, showing in Japan btw, will show up sooner rather than later.
